All optimistic rollups are subject to the same weakness:
Centralized sequencers.
There can be, though, a fully open-source solution allowing rollups to become truly decentralized and secured by Ethereum.

Luckily, there's a proposed solution.
More details soon.

This is precisely why many of the brigthest minds on Ethereum have pointed out the need for truly secure, and decentralized rollups.

Think about it.
If there's only one [centralized] sequencer, users are obligued to trust that entity, creating a single point of failure.
The whole system would be compromised if that one entity is.
A fully functional fraud proof system could alleviate this, but not solve it.
